Another Awesome Week in Mixed Age!
Hello Mixed Age Families,
I hope this email finds you all well, we had a great week together and enjoyed some sunshine and we all adapted well when we had to get back inside quickly when it started raining at recess; we went down to the classroom and everyone had a chance to practice writing U's on the activity board.
Thank you to Kaylee's Mom (Cindy) for coming into the classroom on Wednesday and making baskets with us.
This is what we did in the classroom this week:
Math Table~ Numbered 1-10 pipe cleaners and beads. They enjoyed stringing the beads on and making patterns with the different color beads.
Discovery Table~ Seed sorting. There were pumpkin, watermelon, peas, corn and spinach seeds to sort into different cups. The magnifying glasses were at the table as well to use if they wanted to get a closer look at the seeds.
Easel~ Spring water coloring sheets.
Art Table~ Flowers made with different painting tools. Monday they painted with paper towel tubes cut like flowers petals, Tuesday they used a sponge and a whisk to paint with; they had to write their name and draw the stem and leaves and then they could paint on the flowers. Wednesday they had big plastic eggs to paint with. Today we had stampers, stickers and white paper out on the table.
