Another Fun Week in the 3's!

These school days seemed to fly by this week! We had a very busy but fun few days in the 3's class!

To celebrate Community Helpers Month at Jack and Jill we'll have a number of community helpers come to visit with our students and talk about what they do, and how they help. On Thursday Officer Daday came for a visit! We got to look at his police car, turn the lights on, and hear a bit about how he can help when people are in trouble. He even brought police badge stickers for everyone! We look forward to our next community helper visit next week!

Mrs. T (from Tunes for Tots) came and read us a story, introduced us to her friend Pete the Cat in his Halloween costume, and sang a bunch of fall songs with us. Mrs. T has been coming to Jack and Jill for years, and we're so glad to have her back in our 3's class!

Mr. G (who is a member of the church, and also my Dad) came to read us a story today! We read I Took the Moon for a Walk by Carolyn Curtis and Alison Jay. We talked about the animals in the book, and the different sounds they make, and enjoyed the bright, beautiful pictures! Mr. G will be coming back every other week with new stories to share!

What was NEW in CENTERS?

Art- Puffy Paint Pumpkins- We used "puffy paint" to paint paper plates, and decorated them with jack o'lantern pieces.

Easel- We used fall themed stamps to use on pumpkin and leaf dot marker pictures.

Discovery- Emotion matching- We used Happy, Sad, Angry, and Surprised emoji cards to match up and talk about the different emotions.

We had a great few days, and I can't wait to see all our friends again next week!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out.

Warmly,

Christina Renoni and Ashlee Taylor
