April Adventures in Enrichment

Good afternoon! We had a great first week back from April break. The kids jumped right back into the routines of the classroom.

This week at MORNING MEETING, we spent some time chatting about our time at home last week. The children had lots of fun stories to share. We read Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party by James Dean and Kimberly Dean. Pete and his friends are having a pizza party. The friends had lots of ideas about what toppings they wanted on the pizza. Then this morning we had a Letter P snack party! All snacks were allergen free- pickles, pretzels, popcorn, peaches. Ask your child about which letter P snacks they tried!

Here's what's NEW at CENTERS:

Art Easel: watercolor painting Pete the Cat pictures

Art Table: cutting paint sample strips, paper, glue sticks

Math Table: fine motor bug rescue

Discovery Table: Challenge: make the little cars go using the magnet discs and magnet wands.

Pretend Center: baby dolls, felt sandwich making kit, food, dishes

Sensory Table: plastic grass, plastic eggs, little fuzzy chicks
