Hello March in Enrichment!

Hi everyone!

The Snow Day didn't put a stop to our fun! We said goodbye to February and welcomed in March! We'll have some Spirit Days to keep the month moving along. Please refer to the flyer sent home for dates and details.

We have a few dates in March to keep an eye out for.

3/13- NO SCHOOL- Professional Development

3/25- Spaghetti Supper

3/28- NO SCHOOL- Conferences

With Dr. Seuss' birthday being tomorrow, that was the theme for our week. We read The Cat in the Hat on Monday, and today was Green Eggs and Ham. The kids had a lot of fun hearing and predicting the rhyming words, and listening to all the silly things the Cat and Sam-I-Am did!

What was NEW in centers?

Art- On Monday, we made Cat in the Hat masks (pictured above), and today they helped with a special project to fill our sensory table with rainbow-colored beans! By shaking up a bag of beans, isopropyl alcohol, and food coloring, every one helped to make a rainbow to play in for March.

Easel- We had fun making free art with watercolors!

Math- Using mini red cups and white cardstock, we tried to stack Cat in the Hat's hat as high as possible before falling over.

Writing table- We're practicing cutting with different types of snowflakes.

This is the last week for our orange playdough and construction site.

We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Warmly,

Christina Renoni, Ashlee Taylor, and Erica Derbyshire
