More May Memories in Enrichment!
Good afternoon Enrichment Families! Wow, this week flew by! We were busy and had a lot of fun. The children loved their weekly visit from Sensei Michael and we enjoyed three beautiful afternoons on the playground.
Looking ahead: The last day of school for our class will be Wednesday, June 1st. To celebrate a great school year, we would like to invite parents/caregivers and siblings to join us for playground time from 12:30-1:00. The students may even give a quick performance!
Morning Meeting:
The Very Hungry Caterpillar big book by Eric Carle
Learning some special end-of-the-year songs- there is a picture of the words to the song attached. Feel free to practice with your child. This song is to the tune of I’ve Been Working on the Railroad and will be sung by the kiddos going to K in the fall at graduation.
Here’s what’s happening in centers:
Block Area- wood blocks, potato heads, magnatiles, wooden people, monster trucks, ponies, castle
Pretend Center- food, dishes and baby dolls
Sensory Table- flower building set, blue beads, shovels, buckets
Art Table- painting butterflies, beaded caterpillars
Easel- decorating butterflies with dot markers and stickers, BIG butterfly group project- check it out on the hallway bulletin board!
Math Table- matching quantity to numeral with Very Hungry Caterpillar counting cards and plastic links, colorful bird and nest sorting game
Writing Table- Very Hungry Caterpillar coloring pages, letter tracing
Discovery Table- rainbow bridge building
Playdough- playdough with flower cutters and spring gems
