Saying Good Bye to March in Enrichment!

Good afternoon!

I hope you all heard about our visit from author Brielle Lilygarten! She read us one of her books, Fishy, fishy goes to school, and she helped us do a fish craft! It was lots of fun!

We ended Music in our Schools Month by learning about the trombone! This is different because it doesn't have any keys! You change the note by moving the slide back and forth.

Our book this week was Play This Book by Jessica Young and Daniel Wiseman. We "played" different instruments in a band along with the characters in the book.

What was NEW in centers this week?

Art- We made our very own kazoos and egg shakers!

Easel- The children painted music pages with watercolors. Watercolors are always a big hit with this class!

Math- We used magic (magnetic) wands to move the metal objects inside bottles.

Discovery- Using children made Pattern Puzzles by matching different colored shapes with pictures.

These things, along with the block area, pretend center, writing table, and sensory table make for lots of fun with our friends!

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Warmly,

Christina Renoni and Julie Haynes
