All About Love in the 3's!

Good evening, everyone!

Though it meant we weren't able to see our little loves, we hope you were able to enjoy the snow on Tuesday! We heard about lots of snowmen and snow angels being made!

Our book today was I Love You, Stinky Face by Lisa McCourt and Cyd Moore. This silly book is about a child who challenges Mama's love. "What if I was a green alien from Mars?" "What if I was a super smelly skunk?" Mama, with lots of love to give, adapts how she shows her love with each challenge faced. I know we've all faced this need to adapt at some point, and our little ones all need to be reassured that they will be loved, no matter how they change.

What was NEW in centers this week?

Art- We decorated snowmen with our names!

Easel- We painted with celery, so that it looked like a flower!

Math- Half of the table was dedicated to handing out valentines cards to our friends, while the other half was a search and find. The children looked around the room to find the hidden Valentine pictures. When they found them they colored in or traced the shape that was on a sheet that corresponded with the hidden pictures.

We continued to have fun in the sensory table, block area, and pretend center!

This is a reminder that there is no school next week. We hope you all have a happy and healthy week, and we'll see you on the 27th!

Warmly,

Julie Haynes and Christina Renoni
