February Friends and Fun in Mixed Age

Hello Everyone,

These weeks are flying by so quickly. The kids adapted to our very busy week and have enjoyed the centers. We have been talking as a class this week about how to BE SAFE and to BE KIND to there classmates. Valentine's Day is Monday and your children will have the opportunity to pass out their goodies to their classmates.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The class has earned a special treat for Monday

~~~~Your child can bring in 1 special stuffed animal into class on Monday to play with during center time. This will be our show and tell so NO letter O next week. We are looking forward to seeing everyone's special stuffie!!
Here us what we did this week in the classroom:
Math Table~ Colored Bears and houses along with pattern cards
Discovery Table~ Building with sponges
Art/Writing~ Special Valentine's Cards for their families as well as Love Bugs. They enjoyed using the heart stickers, letter N sheets and coloring sheets.
Easel~ Painting hearts with sponges using pink or purple paint today they used stampers and markers
Sensory~ We now have assorted paper scraps along with scissors and hole punches in the table. This has been a very popular activity and its a great skill to learn....... we did talk about what to cut before we had the center opened. They all did a great job only cutting paper.
Mrs. Lehane came in on Monday to read to the class. She read Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon By Kat Zhang.
