February Fun in Pre-K 2!

Good afternoon Pre-K 2 families,

Happy Thursday! Another productive week at school. We had two guest readers this week! Mrs. Lehane came to read to us on Monday. She read the hilarious book, “Skippy Jon Jones”. The kiddos loved all of her silly voices. Mr. G visited us today and read another silly book, “Pete the Cat Pizza Party.” Thanks for visiting Mrs. Lehane and Mr. G!

Important Arrival Routine Info: Please have your child follow the Arrival Routine posted in the hallway AND have your child put their mittens/gloves in their hat and put the hat in the sleeve of their coat. They may need a little bit of help, but if they practice doing it every morning, they will become more independent. It will also help me tremendously if the children don't have to dig through their backpacks for their hats and mittens at recess time. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

NEXT WEEK: If your child has Valentines to hand out to their friends, please bring them in on Tuesday, 2/14. ALSO- your child does not need a snack on 2/14. We will be having goldfish, Rice Krispie treats, strawberries, grapes, apple juice and water. Any questions, please let me know!

This week at MORNING MEETING:

Stories: "Happy Valentine’s Day Curious George" by H. A. Rey and "Dragons Love Tacos" by Adam Rubin

Nursery Rhyme and Skill Focus: Row Your Boat- We learned new vocabulary and that we always start reading from the TOP.
