Hello Families,
How in the world is it almost February?! We had another fun (short) week in Older Preschool! We weren't able to go outside due to the frigid temperatures , but we are hoping to go outside next week so please continue to send your child with FULL snow gear unless told otherwise. This includes snow pants, snow boots, waterproof mittens, hat and coat in a labeled bag. This week we had a visit from Mrs. T the Music Lady and the kids had a blast! Next week we will resume Show and Tell on Tuesday and Wednesday! Our Letter of the Week is O!
Here is a look at our centers...
Art: painted snow with water paint & snowy tree painting
Science: sensory bottles with magnets & Mat Man
Math: shape sorting & how many shapes can you find in the classroom?
Easel: free art
Writing: practiced shapes and numbers on the whiteboards
Listening: Llama Llama and the Bully Goat
Instead of play-doh we had shaving cream and a variety of tools
Books
-There Was A Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow
-Snowy Bear
Tomorrow (Saturday January 31st) is our Open House from 9:30-11:30 if you want to come say hello or if you know someone looking for Preschool!
Have a great weekend and stay warm!
