February Fun in Mixed Age!

Hello Mixed Age Families,

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! We had a fun week last week! Our letter of the Week will be the G. Please send in one Show and tell item either Tuesday or Wednesday that starts with the G. Please have your child show and tell on one day not both.

VALENTINE’S DAY REMINDER,! We will be celebrating Valentine's Day at school on Wednesday, February 14th.  We will be exchanging valentines in our classroom.   We have 9 children in our class. As far as delivering cards it is easiest if you send in the valentines just signed by who it is from and leave the "to" blank. We are a nut-free school and are asking that food and candy not be sent with the valentines. Stickers, tattoos, pencils, etc. are a good alternative if you would like. We will be decorating valentine’s bags in class. Children are invited to wear red, white and pink on 2/14. If you’re child does not attend school on the 14thplease have them bring their valentines in on Tuesday, we will keep their bag here for their friends to deliver valentines on Wednesday and they will bring their full bag home on Thursday.

Here is a look at our busy week  last week and the letter F!

Dramatic play: We turned into a flower shop

Math: Matching game with hearts and numbers

Discovery: Fun with magnets

Art table: Making flowers using celery dipped in paint

Easel: Finger painting fish

Writing table: Letter, F, worksheets, chalkboards, and name cards.

We Are looking forward to a great week this week! Everyone is looking forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day and giving their families their special Valentines gift!

Have a great rest of your weekend and enjoy the Super Bowl!

Warmly,

Jill Meyer
