Hello all,
Happy Friday! We were very happy to have warmer afternoons at the end of this week. We had a busy week which included 3 special visitors! On Monday, Susan from the Audubon Society of Rhode Island came to share with us about Barbosa, the Rosy boa. On Thursday, Susan came back but this time she brought Westy, a painted turtle. And on Friday, Mrs. T came and sang with us. We had some much fun singing about rabbits, carrots and spring. We also celebrated two birthdays this week, Happy Birthday to Ari and Norah. We certainly had a fun-filled week!
Show and Tell Reminder: Next week's letter of the week will be W. Show and Tell is only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Show and Tell items should start with the letter of the week.
This week we read: There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Worm and Do You Want to Be My Friend?
Here is a look at what we did in centers this week:
The art table- we created sunflowers with paint and sunflower seeds. We also had free art.
The art easel- we decorated vests. Everyone was very creative with this.
The discovery center- this week we had animal pattern cards with foam shapes.
The playdough table- we had blue playdough and then practiced writing letters in shaving cream.
Dramatic play- everyone continued to have fun selling flowers and making bouquets.
We also practiced writing the letter V on the chalkboard.
We hope that you have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Deighan and Mrs. Derbyshire
