Ocean Adventure Camp

Hi Everyone,

We all had a great week at camp. The children were very busy and the days went quick! The children took part in activities, art and play related to the ocean and sea life. We read Commotion In The Ocean by Giles Andreae, I Can Save The Ocean by Alison Inches, The Brave Fish by Matt Buckingham, You're A Crab by Jenny Whitehead, Gilbert In The Deep by Jane Clarke, Who Lives In The Sea by Alice Low and The Bravest Fish Saves The Day! by Matt Buckingham.

Outdoor Activities:

• Planting a pretend garden-gardening tools & silk flowers

• Sea creatures and boat play at the water table

• Bug catchers & nets

• Water sprayers on the school and rock wall

• Painting with water

• Wet Chalk Painting

Indoor Activities:

• Sea Creature Felt Board

• Ice Cream Felt Board

• Light Bright

• Sea shells, sea glass and magnifying glasses

• Sea Life Stamps and Ink Pads at the Art Easel

• Build a Boat

• Sea Scene Wood Craft

• Shark Hat

• Handprint Crab Craft

• Rainbow Fish-painting with celery

• Sand with shells, shovels, sifters

• Rainbow Water Beads with funnels, bowls and spoons
