A Week Full of Luck in Pre-K 2

Hello Pre K Families,

We had a great week in Pre K! A cold day on Monday gave us an inside recess day and we all had a lot of fun dressing in our Disney outfits for this week’s wacky Wednesday!!

The children had so much fun painting, decorating and setting the leprechaun trap! We left gold inside the trap and when we came in Wednesday morning the gold was gone and there were cookies!! The looks on their faces and excitement when they came in the room were fantastic!

Here is what went on in the centers this week…

Dramatic Play- The bakery is still a busy place! A lot of cookies, cupcakes and birthday cakes are being made.

Art Table-This week we made A- Alligators and painted our leprechaun trap!

Easel- Choice – Yellow and blue make???

using watercolors, crayons or markers.

Discovery Table—Floating and sinking

Reading Street book this week- Wyken , Blyken and Nod by Eugene Field This is a nursery rhyme about a little girl that has trouble falling asleep, so her mother sings her a magical song about three fisherman who sail through the sky in a wooden shoe on waves of dew.

Our vocabulary words this week were- dew, fish, fisherman, nets, river and waves. This is the second book in our “Going Places” unit. We will talk more next week about ways to travel.

We also read- Alan’s very Scary Sharp Teeth, Green Eggs and Ham.

The children learned the Macarena dance !

A song- Clap, Clap, Clap for the Anima Act

****Letter of the week next week is V, show and tell will be on Tuesday,

Warmly,

Robin Pascal
