April Awesomeness in Enrichment!

Good afternoon!

The weather hasn't exactly been kind to us for outdoor time recently. But we're making the best of it by extending center time, dancing to movement songs, and learning a fun balloon kicking game!

We also had a visit from Goldfish Swim School today, where we learned about water safety, and met a new friend, Bubbles!

And of course, we couldn't let picture day go by without a silly picture!

We also took the next step in our Pumpkin Jack by putting dirt in the container to help him grow!

We talked a lot about superheroes this week! Our books were Pete the Cat: Super Pete by James Dean, and Even Superheroes Have Bad Days by Shelly Becker.

What was new in centers this week?

Art- We did some marble painting on "carrots" for a special bulletin board, worked together to paint our superhero city backgrounds, cut and glued our super cities, and painted with watercolors to find the hidden shapes. Lots going on this week!

Easel- We made our own superhero capes and talked about what superpowers they would have while wearing them.

Math- Superhero connect the dots helped us with our counting and line drawing skills.

Discovery- Magnetic rhyme picture matching

Sensory- We can design our own flower garden!

Block area- In addition to our blocks, magnetiles, and puzzles, we added ball connectors and Squiggs.

This is just a reminder that there is no school starting next Friday the 12th through Sunday the 21st.

We hope you all have a great weekend!

Warmly,

Julie Haynes and Christina Renoni
