Countdown to Summer in the 3's!

Hi everyone!

Because next week will be just one day in the classroom, and one day where we get to spend time with all of you, this will be the last weekly update from the 3's class for this school year.

We want to thank you all for the wonderful year with your wonderful children. It's been a pleasure getting to know you and your little ones! For those of you we won't be seeing in our classroom next year, we look forward to seeing you in the hallways! For those of you in Enrichment next year we can't wait to hear all about your summer adventures! And for those of you that are moving out of Jack and Jill, we'll miss you so much and we wish you the very best! ❤

REMINDERS:

1. Please bring a reusable bag with your child's name on it so that we can send your child home with a few fun things on the last day!

2. We'll meet you on the playground next Friday at 9:15. This is a different time than the rest of the year. Please be aware.

3. If your child will not be joining us on the last day of school, please let us know so that we can send their things home with them on Thursday.

Our book this week was Kite Day: A Bear and Mole Story by Bill Hillenbrand. It's a fun story where Bear and Mole build a very special kite that they are excited to fly. A storm kicks up, snaps the string, and takes the kite away. Running after it, they find their kite has landed in a spot that is protecting a nest full of baby birds from the rain.

What was NEW in centers?

Art- The children decorated their own mini kites!

Easel- Summer stamps

Math- Kinetic sand and shape twisters

Pretend center- This was full of boxes, stickers, and crayons to really inspire their creative and building minds.

Discovery- Two of our butterflies made their way out of their chrysalis'!

We look forward to seeing you next week for our last two days of school!

Happy Summer!

Christina Renoni and Ashlee Taylor
