It's November in Enrichment!

Hello Enrichment families,

Happy November everyone! We had a lot of fun on Monday decorating mini pumpkins to celebrate the end of October. This week we noticed some changes in Pumpkin Jack, ask your child what we saw and how that helps move the pumpkin life cycle along.

We are in need of white self-sealing envelopes for a class project. If anyone is able to donate some we would greatly appreciate it!

Since the weather is changing, please check your child’s extra bag of clothes (they are in the labeled baskets above the backpack hooks) and switch out any shorts and t-shirts for warmer clothes. Also please label all coats, hats and mittens.

What’s new this week?

Books - Spookley the Square Pumpkin by Joe Troiano and The Thankful Book by Todd Parr.

Art - On Monday we carved Pete the Cat into our big pumpkin. Pete the Cat was chosen with a vote! We have been voting on a few different things in class lately, and they really enjoy it! We also made our own unique Spookleys using different shapes, stickers and paper. They are now hanging in the hallway.

Math- Mini pumpkin decorating and leaf pattern coloring.

Easel- Jack O Lantern stickers. We used orange and black circle stickers to follow the pattern on a Jack O Lantern.

Pretend - Our pretend center is now a veterinarian office. We are having a great time taking care of the animals!

Play dough table- This week we used kinetic sand on the play dough table.

Writing table- Dry erase pumpkins, and ghost and pumpkin cutting practice.

Have a wonderful weekend!
