May Memories in Mixed Age!

Hello All,

What a great week of school we had, the highlight was definitely the field trip to the fire station and we had great weather for our walk over as well. We were there for about 20 minutes before the firefighters got a call and they all had to leave which was fun watching them get their gear on and head out in all of the firetrucks. They all did such a great job walking over and back to school.

Here is what we did in the classroom this week:

Math Table~ Dot sticker caterpillars worksheet, they enjoyed using the stickers to grow the caterpillars.

Discovery Table~ Kinetic sand and little molds and buckets to use; this has been a popular place this week.

Easel~ Water color painting Mother's Day hedgehog sheets

Art/Writing Table~ Ice cream cone gluing activity as well as finishing up the Mother's Day gifts for all of our great moms. The kids have been enjoying using the scissors and coloring the ice cream coloring pages this week too.

Books:

Curious George Goes to School ~ Thank you James

Elmo's Super-Duper Birthday ~ Thank you Vivian

Silverlicious

The Fire Engine Book

The Very Impatient Caterpillar

Music:

Fruit Salad

Stand up, Sit down

Mrs. G came in for the last time today and read the book Cuckoo. She of course brought in her ukulele and we all sang Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear.

Our show and tell on Monday will be to bring in something that your child has been wanting to bring into school. Please make sure it is able to fit in their backpacks so when they pack up at the end of the day it will be easier for them. Thank you!

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms!

Best,

Julie Haynes & Katy Fyrberg
