5 Day Pre-K News This Week!

Hi All,

We had a fun-filled four days of school this week.  We certainly enjoyed the warmer temperatures and even changed our schedule yesterday so we could get outside and enjoy fresh air before the rain came.

We did not have a letter of the week but worked a lot on letter sounds.

We re-read our Reading Street book, What Do You Do With a Tail Like This? We also read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst and Me Too! by Mercer Mayer.

Other activities included:

Listening Center: There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly by Lucille Colandro.

Art Easel: Sparkly paints and white paper

Project Table: Some authors and illustrators were busy finishing up stories they were working on. We also had rubbing plates available to use.

Pretend Center: It was the last week of our Pretend Center being a school and it was busy right up to the end!

Sensory Table: Water beads, buckets, sifter, cups, and scoopers.

Discovery Table: We have been talking a lot with our Reading Street book about senses. The Five Senses Game was out. This includes a mat for each sense and objects to be sorted.

Math Table: Math puzzles

Writing Table: Dry Erase Boards, chalkboards, letter booklets and dot to dot worksheets

I hope you have a wonderful April Vacation. I will see everyone on Monday, April 22nd.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Kelley
