So Long September in the 3's!

Our first month of school is officially complete! September was filled with so many firsts for the kids, and they are all doing so well. We have heard a lot more of their voices, and it has been great getting to know them a little bit more each school day!

Important information for next week:

Starting Tuesday, October 3, per our family handbook, any students arriving late will need to follow this procedure- - If you arrive and the class is already outside on the playground please have your child hang their backpack, use the bathroom and then go to the office. Mrs. Lay will call one of the teachers down to bring the student to the playground. - If you are just arriving at school when the door opens you will need to complete the arrival routine and then go Mrs. Lay’s office for assistance. We go outside immediately after the children enter the classroom, and keeping that routine consistent is one of the ways we provide stability for your child. - We are not able to allow any drops offs at the playground gate.

This week:

Our books this week were The Biggest Apple Ever by Steven Kroll, and Germs are not for sharing by Elizabeth Verdick. We did a "germ" experiment to go along with this book that the children really enjoyed!

What’s New in Centers?

Art- Apple Stamping. We used sliced apples and paint to create our own unique apple prints. These are now hanging in the hallway :) Discovery Table- Magnet building spheres and rods. Easel- Dot marker Apples Math- Apple tree fill in. Using apple counters, the children had to count the apples on the trees and add the correct number of apples to each tree.

Have a great weekend!
