All About Love in 4 Day Pre-K!
Hello families!
I can't believe we are already at February Break! We had a short week due to the snow day on Tuesday but we still managed to have a lot of fun packed into 3 days. On Wednesday we had our Valentine's Day Dance upstairs and it was a blast! We saw a bunch of awesome dance moves, I was super impressed!
At the Art Table the kids finished up their Valentines gifts for the people they love. They all worked SO hard! We also made love monsters and painted "heart" ornaments. At the Easel we had a bunch of Valentine theme coloring sheets.
Math Table this week was "Cootie Bugs" which the kids really enjoyed. They had to roll the dice and whichever number they landed on told them which bug body part to attach. The bug creations that they made really were hilarious.
The Writing Table was all about Letter R this week. We had "R" booklets, worksheets and other "R" activities. Due to the short week we will repeat "R" the week we come back to school. This means there will be NO show & tell.
Discovery Table was the place to be this week! Mrs. Derbyshire set up a "Love Potion" making station. They kids
got to choose from a variety of objects to put inside their water bottle (mixed with vegetable oil & food coloring). Once they were all completed we put 2 Alka-Seltzer tablets in each to make that "bubbling" effect. We super-glued the tops on for safety.
