Another Great Week in Pre-K 2

Hello Pre K Families,

We had such a wonderful week and the highlight was certainly having the special someone’s visit at recess on Wednesday! I hope you enjoyed it as much as the children and I did.

There is definitely something in the air in the Pre-K room; I think the children can just sense our year coming to an end. Some of them are very excited for summer and some are starting to get a little sad, at the thought of leaving Jack & Jill. I keep reminding them how much they will love Kindergarten, and to take the wonderful memories we have created with them as they move along. Having said that, I am also seeing signs of senioritis in Pre-K!!

Here is what went on in the centers this week…

Art Easel- Sponge painting flowers.

Discovery Table-. Sensory bottles and gloves.

Art Table- Z if for Zinnia and Zebra masks. We also painted butterflies. Folding the paper in half to paint and then transferring the paint to the other side. We discussed the fact a butterflies wings are identical.

Reading Street Book- “Houses A to Z” All different houses people live in all around the world. We discussed which place was the favorite. The motor Home/Camping won!

Z Song- Zip and Zig Zag to the Zoo. This was a class favorite!

******We have reached the end of our alphabet! We will be all things Eric Carle next week! My personal favorite! On Tuesday I am asking the children to bring in a favorite book of theirs and be prepared to tell us 2 things about the book! Show and Tell favorite book or author edition!

Warmly,

Robin Pascal
