Happy Thanksgiving from 5 Day Pre-K!
Hi All,
We had a great two days of school.
Some of the activities that took place in our classroom were:
Art Easel: On Monday, we had one more day of transpotation stickers.
On Tuesday, there was dot marker turkeys.
Project Table: Thanksgiving Placemats were made & adorable turkeys too!
Math Table: Sorting
Listening Center: Over the River-A Turkey's Tale by Derek Anderson
The Farm Stand continues to be a popular spot! Shopping, ringing up the produce on the cash register & counting out the money to pay.
On Monday, we had a wonderful time at our Friendship Feast. One child said it was "the best day of his life". There were a lot of goodies! We made a snack mix (cheerios, Fritos, marshmallows & chocolate chips). Thank you very much to the families that donated the ingredients. We also had apple slices, pumpkin muffins, veggie sticks and water. Mrs. Lehane read The Night Before Thanksgiving by Natasha Wing. We performed our song for the other classes in Fellowship Hall. Our group did a wonderful job singing "The Turkey Dance" (I hope you enjoyed the video I sent on Monday). I was very proud.
Today, we read Give Thanks For Each Day by Steve Metzger. We did the Turkey Hokey Pokey and learned the Cha Cha Slide.
Just a reminder that we do not have school on Monday, November 27th. It is parent/teacher conferences.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kelley
