Hello December in Enrichment!

Hi all,

First, I'm glad I got to chat with so many of you on Monday. A good home/school relationship is important so that the children know that we're all on the same page!

I wanted to let you all know too that we had some new friends with us this week, some for a visit and some to stay. They were all welcomed by the children with open arms (sometimes literally!). I'm grateful for such a loving and caring group of kids. What a great welcome for our new friends!

This Tuesday was our first class with Ms. Heather from Drama Kids. The children had a wonderful time pretending they were playing all sorts of sports, and helping Ms. Heather when she "got hurt" in a scene. We're excited for her to come next Tuesday!

Our book this week was I Really Like Slop by Mo Willems. Another book in the Elephant and Piggie series, this book talks about trying a new food, and using kind words with friends even when it's hard.

What was NEW in CENTERS?

Art- Marble Painting- Using the sheet music to The More We Get Together we painted by rolling a marble through blue and/or yellow paint!

Easel- Fall coloring page

Math- The children used colorful fall shapes (pumpkins, owls, acorns etc.) to finish fall patterns.

Literacy cart- Felt Tree Decorating

These things, in addition to the Sensory Table, Block Area, Pretend Center, and Playdough made for fun center times!

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out.

We hope you all have a wonderful and safe rest of your week!

Warmly,

Christina Renoni and Ashlee Taylor
