Look What We Did This Week in Mixed Age!

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope that you are all doing well! Thank you to all of you for attending conferences this past Tuesday, it was great to meet with you! We would like to remind everyone that next Wednesday and Thursday we have picture day here at school.  We would also like to remind everyone that the raffle calendars are due back by next Monday, March 31st; these can be given to us at drop off or directly to Mrs. Lay in her office. Next week's letter of the week is V! Here is a look at what we did in centers this week:

At the art table: The children created new rainbow suncatchers for spring to replace their winter ones.

At the math table we practiced counting and number matching by adding raindrop beads to numbered umbrellas.

At the writing table we had Spring themed coloring pages, free draw, and magnetic letter tracing boards for the letter U.

At our discovery center the kids made "walking rainbows" using paper towels, rainbow-colored markers, and water.

At the easel the children used mirrors to create self-portraits for the art show! These came out amazing.

This week the books we read in class were :

                              The Hidden Rainbow

                              When Spring Comes

                              Bear Snores On

We had a wonderful time this week and hope that you all get a chance to enjoy the nice weather today. We look forward to seeing you all again next week!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Mackenzie and Mrs. Haynes
