March is Moving On In Enrichment!

Good afternoon!

It was so nice to sit down with some of you yesterday to chat about your wonderful kids! We look forward to watching their progress through the rest of the year.

This week wrapped up our music theme (though...it's a preschool classroom...there's ALWAYS music happening in our room). We usually read the same book each morning, focusing on different things each time we read through, but this week was different. Monday's book was Because by Mo Willems and Amber Ren. And Wednesday's book was Barnyard Dance! by Sandra Boynton. Two very different books, but both engaging and fun!

What was NEW in centers this week?

Discovery- Shape patterns

Writing table- Step by step drawings, and cutting

Art- Shared abstract art. A group of 4 children decorated 2 sections of abstract art on a piece of paper. When they were done with those two, each child moved around the table to the next piece of paper and decorated two more empty spaces, and did that until they added their art to all 4 pieces of paper. These will be hanging in the hallway next week.

Easel- Piano key letter practice

Math- Monday we got to dress up magnetic people, and today we played with dinosaurs on a number practice dino mat.

These things were in addition to the blocks, playdough, and camping that we had last week too.

We look forward to seeing all the kids again next week!

Have a great weekend!
