May is Here in Pre-K 2!
Hello Pre K Families,
THANK YOU FOR MAKING US FEEL SO APPRECIATED! We had a week of feeling your appreciation and we are grateful.
Our Week-
Mrs. Lehane read to the class on Monday. On Tuesday we had visitors from the Roger Williams Zoo! This was a terrific visit. We learned about the different habitats that animals can live in. We met a bunny, a box turtle and a corn snake! It was a hands off meeting , but loved by the children !!
Here is what went on in the centers this week…
Dramatic Play- All about home this month in the dramatic play area. Cleaning, taking care of babies and preparing meals.
Art Easel- Coloring flowers.
Discovery Table- Ceramic eggs that the children scratched, and dusted to reveal what was inside!
Sensory Table- Water beads ( or as some of the children call them… orbies)
Art Table- This week at the art table we made Yarn wrapped tulips and drip drop butterflies using coffee filters.
Our Reading Street book this week was- ‘We Need Construction Workers”
By Lisa Trumbauer. This was another book in the construction/building unit. Construction Workers shows men (and woman!) at work building homes, businesses, and road.
Let’s Play in the Yard was our Y song this week.
Next week show and tell on Tuesday will be for our last letter- Z
Warmly,
Miss Pascal
Mrs. Taylor
