Moving in March in the 3's!
Hi everyone!
Â
Well, these rainy days did not keep us down! It may have been raining outside, but we filled our week with rainbows inside!
Â
Our books this week were There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Clover by Lucille Colandro, and Peppa Loves St. Patrick's Day. It was a little introduction to the fun of St. Patrick's Day.
Â
What was NEW in centers this week?
Art- We used watercolor paint to make rainbows on coffee filters, then added smiley faces to clouds to add to our rainbows.Â
Easel- The children used different shades of green dot markers to fill in a shamrock.
Math- Strengthening our number skills and fine motor skills, the children matched the number on a key to the number on a lock and twisted to open the correct lock.
Playdough- We have green playdough this month! Using shamrock dough cutters and rainbow pipe cleaners we've made lots of fun things!
Discovery- Magnetic wands helped us discover the magic of magnets! We could pick things up inside a bottle using just the "magic" wands!
Sensory- We now have rainbow beans, pieces of gold, and pots to scoop, count, sort, and play in.
Â
We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Â
Warmly,
Julie Haynes and Christina Renoni
