Hello Families,
We had another fun week in Older Preschool! Our Tuesday/Thursday group got a visit from a soldier in the United States Army. It was pretty cool to hear all about his job! Our Friday group also got a special visit from the Music Lady- Mrs. T! She played her guitar and sang a bunch of Halloween/Fall songs for us.
Our next letter for Show and Tell is E! Here is a look at our centers.....
Art: painted pumpkins, thumbprint pumpkin patch and Friday Free Art
Easel: Q-tip apples and bingo dot apples
Math: Number Hunt around the classroom
Discovery: What is that sound? The kids shook a variety of bottles/jars to try and figure out what was inside
Writing: "D" in corn, tracing lines and numbers
Listening: 16 Runaway Pumpkins
Books:
-10 Flying Brooms
-There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Bat
-Room On A Broom
Reminders:
-NO candy is allowed in your child's lunchbox
-Please make sure all food has a label or send us an email with a picture of the label
-NO Halloween costumes on Friday- instead we encourage your child to wear Orange and Black (Halloween can be a scary time for some kids and we want to make sure everyone feels comfortable at school)
-We will be going through all the kids spare clothes next week so please update those for more weather appropriate options
Book Grams will be on sale each morning next week in the Middle Room for those interested in purchasing a book for your child. During the 1st week of November- the books will be delivered to the children during class to kick off Literacy Month!
We hope everyone has a great weekend and we will see you all next week!
