Week 1 of Summer Preschool!

Hi Everyone,

We all had a great week at camp.  The children were very busy and the days went quick!  It was nice to see new friendships forming at camp too.  The children took part in activities, art and play that were Space related. We read Zoom! Zoom! Zoom! I'm Off To The Moon by Dan Yaccarino and I Want To Be An Astronaut by Byron Barton.  We ended the week having a treat of "rocket" ice pops after lunch. 

Outdoor Activities:

•              Planting a pretend garden-gardening tools & silk flowers

•              Sea creature play at the water table

•              Car Wash on the bike path

•              Bubbles

•              Painting with water

•              Hula hoops

•              Hoppers

•              Romper Stompers

•              And a lot of soccer!

Indoor Activities:

•              Build a rocket ship

•              Chalk print stars

•              Bristle blocks with spaceships and astronauts

•              Play-doh

•              Light table building activities

•              Connect the Dots to make stars

•              Foil Printed Moon

•              Moldable Fluff with pipe cleaners, googly eyes and feathers

•              Large Tinker Toys

•              Foam Builders with connecters

•              Black beans with rocket ships, astronauts and stars

•              Space Pretend Center

•              Space Movement Activity
