Week 4 in Mixed Age

Hello All,

Another great week had by all!! Everyone enjoyed their time at school and kept themselves very busy throughout the morning. The drying rack is full everyday as they love doing the art activities. Luckily we were able to get out each day this week and they are loving  the activities outside. Here are some of the things we did in the classroom this week.

Math Table~ Shape sorters. These were a little tricky but by the end of choice time today they had figured them out. A Few of the kids were building with the shapes to make a house.

Discovery Table~ Skoolzy Straws were at the center this week. The kids enjoyed connecting the straws using the connecters and making long towers or shapes with them.

Art/Writing Table~ They made mice from the story If you Give A Mouse a Cookie. They are now hanging on the bulletin board: picture attached below. They made cookies using dot markers as well. There is always blank paper out  for them to use and today we had a coloring sheet to decorate their own cupcake.

Easel~ Paper plate apple painting, They were able to choose red or green paint. They LOVED painting!!!! Today we had a free art activity using watercolors.

Listening Center~  Pete the Cat and his 4 Groovy buttons By Eric Litwin

Next week we will have new things in their sensory bins and at the pretend center and we will also have a new color play-doh with new cookie cutters!!
