Happy Thanksgiving from Pre-K 1

Hi All, We had a great two days of school. Some of the activities that took place in our classroom were: Art Easel: On Monday, Water color painting-there were two different turkey worksheets available to paint. On Tuesday, Dot markers with a plump turkey to decorate. Project Table: Turkey handprint project...I hope you liked this! Trolls haircutting worksheets Free Art Math Table: Counting Cards with clothes pins....the children counted the number of animals and clipped the clothes pin to the correct answer Color Matching Puzzles This week I introduced the children to Mat Man. Mat man is made of wood pieces and a blue mat. Building him helps children learn spatial and drawing concepts. We sat in a circle, listened to the mat man song and each child added their pieces to build him. I attached a picture for you to see. On Monday, we read The Night Before Thanksgiving by Natasha Wing. Today, we had a wonderful time at our Friendship Feast. We enjoyed our snack in our classroom. There were a lot of goodies! A snack mix (cheerios, Fritos, marshmallows, raisins & chocolate chips), fruit salad, pumpkin muffins, popcorn and water. Thank you for your generous donations of food for this feast. We performed our song for the other classes outside. Our group did a wonderful job singing "The Turkey Dance" (video is attached). I was very proud. Just a reminder that we do not have school on Monday, November 30th. It is parent/teacher conferences. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Sincerely, Mrs. Kelley
