Hello December in Pre-K 2!
Good afternoon Pre-K 2 families,
It was so nice meeting with you all on Monday to talk about your child’s progress. I am so proud of how far they’ve come and I am excited to watch them grow further during the rest of the school year. The children got right back to work after our Thanksgiving break and enjoyed checking out the new materials during Center Time. As I discussed with you at conferences, we will spend a lot of time this month working on social skills such as using words to express feelings, wants and needs, using words to ask for a turn and following the classroom rules: Be kind. Be safe. Take care of our things.
This month we will read several stories about gingerbread men, babies and children. We will also explore different Festival of Lights holidays. In terms of STEM, we will continue to work through using the Problem Solving Process and will move to our next science unit in January.
