Saying Goodbye to March in Pre-K 2!

Good afternoon Pre-K 2 families,

A quick email update after a quick and busy week! The kiddos had a blast at their Sleep Under Party with Panda and Sally Squirrel. Check out the pictures of the habitat that they made for her.

This week at MORNING MEETING:

Stories: "Polar Bear, Polar Bear What Do You Hear?" by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle

Seeds of STEM: We spent a lot of time planning for Sally’s arrival.

Skills: created “ABAB” patterns with colored mats, practiced oral language skills while playing the Monster Game

Here's what's happening at CENTERS:

Art- Spring egg collages, decorations for Sally and Polar Bear, Polar Bear watercolor painting at the easel

Blocks-wood blocks, cars, garage, dollhouse and dolls

Dramatic Play- Habitat Building with recycled materials

Writing/Library- books about spring, rainbow coloring pages, paper, rainbow paint samples, paper punchers, stamping markers

Playdough: green playdough, rainbow pipe cleaners, erasers, cutters, rollers

Math Table- counting with dice and carrot pop-its

Science- kinetic sand and plastic eggs

Sensory Table- plastic grass, plastic eggs, little chicks

Lastly, it was a pleasure speaking with you at conferences on Tuesday. I am so very proud of the progress your children have made so far this year. If you ever have any questions or concerns moving forward, please do not hesitate to speak with me.

Have a great weekend. See you on Monday!

Warmly,

Brenda Daday
